Tiny tots of St. Nursery School celebrated Children’s Day here on Tuesday. Various activities were organised in the school to mark the occasion. A fancy dress competition was organised for students of pre-nursery, nursery and LKG classes. Students came up with creative ideas. A student came dressed up as a Rs 1,000 note, wailing on being called an “ill-legal tender” while another student was dressed up as a Rs 2,000 note was happy. Issues such as corruption, pollution and water conservation were among the important themes of the competition.
Students were told about the love that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had for children and the reason why his birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day. A colouring competition was also organised for students of KG and an art competition for class I and II students. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners in all categories.
Ashish Chhabra (Director), Ruchi (vice-principal), Shikha Chhabra (coordinator), and founder principal Vinod Chhabra. All students were given chocolates.
