DBS students seek scholarships

Dehradun, April 27
Members of the DBS College Students’Union and Satyam Shivam Students’ Union held a demonstration at the District Social Welfare office for the second consecutive day here today.
They demanded scholarships for SC, ST and OBC students. They raised slogans against the department and in support of their year-long pending demands.
The protesters said scholarship was not being given for the past two years.
They said it had become extremely difficult for the students to continue with their studies in the absence of scholarship benefits. The web portal of the District Social Welfare Department was also not functioning for the past few months, they said.
