Ludhiana: To mark the Labour Day, a declamation contest was organised at the Tagore Public School, Birmi village. Students from Classes VI to X participated in the contest. It was on inter-house competition. Two students from each house participated inthe contest. Students expressed the solidarity of labourers. They also suggested that government should take suitable steps for the protection of workers and should provide social security so that amiable relations should be developed between the employers and employees. All the speakers were of the view that country with better state of discipline among workers will have a competitive edge over others. The Principal Ramandeep Kaur appreciatedthe performance of the students. Sweets weredistributed to all theworkers by the school management.
Labour Day observed
To make students realise the dignity of Labour and to sensitise them towards the selfless services offered by the supportive employees and to express gratitude to the makers of the day, Saraswati Modern School, Hambran Road, observed Labour Day. Beautiful paintings were made by the students on Labour Day. A small skit was presented in the morning assembly by Class VIII. Madam Principal Mona Thakur elaborated on the dignity of Labour.
Ram Lal Bhasin Public School
Labour Day was observed with great enthusiasm and fervor at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Dugri. Students presented beautiful greeting cards made by them to the fourth class employees. All fourth class employees were called and applauded for their work. Principal Suman Arora too appreciated their contribution and encouraged them to perform their duties in sincere and efficient manner in future also and asked the students to always give them respect. Later a get together party was also arranged for them including all the staff members.
Freshers party
Jain Public School situated at Benjamin Road organised a freshers party for the new comers. Children attired in beautiful dresses were looking gorgeous. School was well decorated to host the event. Tiny tots of Nursery class recited beautiful poems, students of KG and first class danced on melodious numbers and welcomed their juniors. Principal Veena Sehgal welcomed the new comers and applauded the excitement with which they took part in function.
Penguin Day celebrated
The tiny tots of Ryan International School, Jamalpur, celebrated the “World Penguins Day’’. Student were engaged in the activity of making a penguin using various cutouts. Students used cut and paste method and made their penguinindividually. Principal Gurpal Kaur Anand said, “Learning by doing is one of the methods which we adopt to clarify concepts amongst our students. This enhances their understanding and memory and at thesame adds joy to their work.” — TNS
