DMCH students bag top positions

End of 2015 has brought good news to students of the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, who have bagged top slots in MBBS (Final-Part II exam) conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
Of around 1,031 students who appeared for the MBBS (Final-Part II) examination, Simrat Kaur and Shubhangi Gupta got the first and third position in the university respectively. The Principal, Dr Sandeep Puri, and the Dean Academics, Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, congratulated the students and their parents on their meritorious performance. They exhorted them to rise further in their careers and hold medical profession in high esteem by dint of hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Medicos Simrat Kaur and Shubhangi Gupta thanked their parents and teachers for this wonderful accomplishment. They gave credit of their success to their faculty members, who also strove hard to see their students perform well in studies.
Dr Simrat Kaur, daugher of Dr Jagjeet Singh and Surinder Kaur from Bhatinda, said as a school-going girl, it was her dream to be in the medicine profession and after crossing this very first step of clearing the MBBS examination, she felt learning is a lifelong process. Dr Shubhangi Gupta, daughter of Dr BK Gupta and Dr Ranjana Gupta from Sonepat, said clearing the MBBS exam was a start of our journey in the field of medicine. Life after completing the MBBS paves way for pursuing your area of specialisation in MD/MS, Shubhangi said.
