Ludhiana: Dr Neena Aneja joined as the Principal of SDP College for Women on Tuesday. She was accorded a warm welcome by members of the management, and teaching and non-teaching staff. Dr Aneja said she would work wholeheartedly for the overall development of the institution. College teaching and non-teaching staff and the Principals of SDP institutions, Jasbir Chauhan and Sanjeev Bindra, also welcomed Dr Aneja and assured full support and cooperation in all tasks. She is a gold medalist. She did MSc (Hons School), MEd and PhD. Earlier, she served as the Principal of AS College of Education, Khanna, for about nine years.
Students shine
Students of BSc-III (Fashion Designing) of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, once again proved their excellence in the Panjab University exam held in April, 2016. Priyanka bagged first position in the university securing 89.9 per cent marks. Inderpreet Kaur bagged fourth position in the university securing 87.8 per cent marks. Principal Dr Charanjit Mahal congratulated the faculty and students for this success.
Health camp
Khanna: Free optical glasses were given to over 25 patients during a free medical and eye check-up camp held at Cordia Group of Institutes, Sanghol. Urmil Verma, executive director, Lord Rana Charitable Foundation, and Dr Sunil Goyal, president of the Cordia Group, distributed optical glasses to these patients in the presence of Max India Foundation authorities.
