Chief Minister Harish Rawat here today honoured 175 students of SGRR Public School with ‘Gaurav Samman’ for excelling in various competitions.

Swati Joshi, who got admission in AIIMS, Rohit Gusain, who was selected in the national U-14 football team, and Ankit Jain, a topper of SGRR Education Mission’s CBSE XII exams, were honoured with letters of commendation and Rs 51,000 each.

The Chief Minister said schools of the SGRR Education Mission were contributing significantly to the field of quality education. He congratulated the SGRR management for it.

“Today is the time of excellence and students who can reach the highest level of excellence have the caliber to be on the top in their respective fields and contribute to the nation and society,” he said.

The Uttarakhand government was working hard to make a road map for providing a new direction to the education system, he added.

Shri Mahant Devendra Dass ji Maharaj, chairman of SGRR Education Mission, said every student of the school had a unique quality. This was the result of the outstanding hard work of teachers who recognised the talents of students and helped them reach the heights of success.

There are more than 120 branches of SGRR Public Schools in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. In the far-flung and remote areas of Uttarakhand also, the SGRR’s Educational Mission is running its schools.
