Haryana students win top three slots in AIPVT

Haryana students bagged the top three positions in the All-India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) results declared by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (BVSc&AH) course.

While Amit Kumar of Bhattu Mandi in Fatehabad district topped the test, ,Rohit Sangwan and Palak got the second and third positions, respectively. Amit Kumar had also got the 15th rank in the AIIMS entrance examination.

Amit, son of Ratan Lal Garg, a small-time shopkeeper in Bhattu Mandi, said he was still mulling his options whether to go for medical or animal sciences. “My choice would be Haryana Agriculture University , Hisar, for admission to the veterinary course”, he said.

While maximum 212 students were selected from Rajasthan in the AIPVT, 65 were chosen from Haryana. — TNS
