Shimla, June 27

Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS) has got the outstanding B-school award (North) by ABP News National Education Awards. This was stated by Vice Chancellor Prof ADN Bajpai today.

He said the B-school had been awarded for good leadership qualities, development, marketing and better industry interface. He said an independent jury and a panel of professionals selected the university on the basis of quality, quantitative teaching and result-oriented research. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
