Chandigarh: An inter-school ICSE quiz competition was organised by St Stephen’s School, Sector 45-B, Chandigarh. The quiz was conducted by Kunal Savarkar, a famous quizmaster. Jasleen Kaur Chugh and Prabhnoor Singh Bedi of Tender Heart School, Sector 33, Chandigarh, emerged as winners and won the trophy. The second position was shared by St Stephen’s School, Chandigarh, and Saupin’s School, Panchkula. There were multiple rounds in the event which tested the knowledge, logical reasoning and creativity of the participants.

Tricity students pen slogans

Mohali: As many as 135 students from Tricity schools took part in a slogan-writing competition to mark the National Nutrition Week (September 1 to  7) at Fortis Hospital here on Friday. The students were from Classes V and VI. They gave slogans on the  theme ‘More colours, more nutrition’. The winning slogan was ‘Eat a rainbow every day’ by Parisha Handa of Manav Mangal Smart School, Mohali. The second position went to Manshu Dhiman of Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, for the slogan ‘If it came from a plant, eat it. If it was made in a plant, don’t’ while the third position went to Riddhi of Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, for her slogan ‘In the distance of black and white, there is colour of health’.   — Tribune Reporters
