Sonia Thakur, coordinator of the British Council’s International School Award (ISA) programme at KC Public School, has visited Skipton Girls High School, North Yorkshire, UK.
The visit was sponsored and funded by the British Council under its Connecting Classrooms programme. James Hoyle, global awareness coordinator at Skipton Girls High School, had already visited KC Public School in May under the same programme.
The programme aimed at bringing long-term partner schools closer and encourages them to continue to work in collaboration with each other on mutually decided projects from across their curricula.
Sonia Thakur during her visit to Skipton Girls High School, North Yorkshire, UK, interacted with teachers and students there, besides finalising the list of projects to be completed collaboratively in the academic year 2015-16.
Sonia Thakur also visited a few places of historic significance in Skipton and also toured Yorkshire Dales, known for their sheep-breeding industry.
