King’s College, Taunton, an independent co-educational secondary day and boarding school in Somerset, England, has joined hands with institutes in India to set up the first-ever British partnership school in the country.

The launch was announced at the newly developed campus of the school here today. The school Headmaster, Bradley Sailes, said students of Rohtak and other areas in the NCR could now avail themselves of the benefit of British education.

“The school is scheduled to open in August, 2016, for children from Classes I to VIII,” he said, adding that the admission process was already on for children aged 6 to 13, mirroring the UK prep-school system.

The curriculum will initially be modelled on the British Common Entrance system, which caters to the children up to 13 and creates a platform for the IGCSE and A-levels.
