Ludhiana/Jalandhar, May 21
Mudita Bansal of Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar (Ludhiana), topped the state in the CBSE Class XII exams with 98.2 per cent marks in the commerce stream. With 98 per cent marks, Jalandhar girl Anchal Jain finished second.
Taking to The Tribune, Mudita said it was a pleasant surprise for her to know that she was the state topper. She said her efforts to study subjects in depth had paid off.
She wants to prepare for the civil services, but her ultimate goal is to work for the Reserve Bank of India.
Anchal said: “I did work hard and was expecting 95-96 per cent marks. I never thought I would be among the state toppers. This is a dream come true.”
A student of MGN Public School in the commerce stream, Anchal credited her parents and teachers for her success. She said she was never a bookworm but was a disciplined student. Anchal aspires to pursue MBA in finance.
Another Jalandhar student, Naman Aggarwal, topped the state in the non-medical stream with 97.6 per cent marks. Naman is a student of Delhi Public School. — TNS
