Kurukshetra, June 15
The Kurukshetra University has postponed the second semester exam of BSc mathematics to June 19 after receiving a complaint that the paper was allegedly leaked. The exam was scheduled to be held in the morning session today.
KU registrar KC Ralhan, said, “The second semester BSc mathematics exam was scheduled to be held today, but a complaint was received around 8am from an unknown person that the paper had been leaked. Taking a serious note, the exam was cancelled and all the centre superintendents were informed around 9am through email and telephone, about the same.” The registrar said, “The exam has been rescheduled for June 19 and the timing and centers would remain the same.”
This is the second instance over the last 20 days when the papers were leaked before the exam at Kurukshetra University. On May 25, the examination branch of the university received a complaint that the business management paper of B.Com, semester VI, and the chemistry paper of BSc, semester IV, was leaked. After receiving the complaints, KU had postponed both the exams for June 2. The exams were to be held in the evening session on May 25.
Controller of Examination, Hukam Singh, said: “At some examination centers the directions regarding the exam papers are not being followed properly. The centre superintendents and principals were directed to get CCTVs installed in locker rooms of the examination centers, and keep the footage for three months. They have been asked to follow the directions strictly.”
