Parents meet DC, seek refund of Rs 6.3 crore as per HC orders

The members of Parents’ Association of Bal Bharti Public School today met Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat and submitted their demand for the implementation of the High Court’s order refunding Rs 6.3 crore of the excessive fee charged under various heads, including smart class and medical charges.
The association members met the DC and demanded that the extra fee be refunded by February 11 as per the direction of the High Court.
Manjeet Singh, Inderpal Singh Chawla, Advocate Malwinder Singh Ghumman, Satnam Singh Makkar, Ritu Jain, Swarn Singh, SachinVishist, Vishal Puri, Harshinder Singh Chug of Parents’ Association Bal Bharti Public School urged the Deputy Commissioner to kindly look into the matter and instruct the unaided private schools not to enhance fee and also to upload the balance sheets on their website immediately and regularly.
They further requested the DC to instruct the schools not to charge annual charges, development charges, building fund, smart class charges, computer charges and other funds. Only tuition fee should be charged without enhancement.
