Patiala, March 29

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, awarded Dr Inderjit Kaur Khokhar, Head Teacher, Government School, Dana Mandi, Patiala, with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) during its 66th annual convocation held at the Gymnasium Hall of the university.

Vice-President and Chancellor of Panjab University Hamid Ansari was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Khokhar has completed her research work in History from the Department of History. Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, MP Kirron Kher, actor Anupam Kher, Punjabi writer Dilip Kaur Tiwana, PU Vice-Chancellor Arun Kumar Grover, Registrar Col GS Chadda (retd), Dean of Social Sciences BS Ghuman, Controller (Examination) Parvinder Singh and senior officer from Punjabi University Harminder Singh Khokhar were also present on the occasion.
