PGGC-46 to have hostels from this session

Post Graduate Government College (PGGC), Sector 46, which was established in 1982, will come with two new hostels from this academic session. The hostels will have a capacity to accommodate 200 students (100 each for boys and girls).
At present, the college does not have any hostel facility and college students are accommodated in hostels of other institutes. The authorities have also approved the design of ramps for disabled students. The work on it will start soon.
The college has also set up various societies for students to engage them in extra-curricular activities besides academics. The college has the Wi-Fi facility and seven smart classrooms. It had applied for the permission to run science, home science and dance courses but the permission was denied due to a shortage of staff for these courses.
The college also runs an add-on certificate course, which includes tally programme, soft skills for the baseline staff in the service sector, spoken English and other communication skills.
