PU detects fake medical certificate of student

The Panjab University (PU) authorities detected a fake medical certificate submitted by a student to steer clear of the shortage in attendance. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the university has pointed out the case to the Dean (University Instructions) for further action.
Dean Dinesh Kumar said they had referred the case to the committee constituted to look into the issue. The panel will meet on January 12. The committee will also review cases of those students whom show-cause notices have already been sent in this regard. On December 14, show-cause notices was issued to four students, of which three had submitted tempered medical certificates while the fourth submitted a fake one to meet the shortage in attendance. — TNS
