Qawwali contest

Ludhiana: Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Qawali Competition was conducted at Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, in which 17 teams participated. Rajinder Malhar, Vaneet Sharafat and Shankar Bawa, renowned personalities from the music world were judges. DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road; HVM Convent Senior Secondary School and GGN Public School, Rose Garden were the top three winning schools.

International English Olympiad

DCM Presidency School held International English Olympiad, wherein as many as 90 students participated from classes I to III. Aarush Bansal, Dharmesh Jain, Gursimran Kaur and Riza Saluja won the international gold medal. Many silver and bronze medals were won at both international and national level. The winners got medals, education DVDs worth Rs 2,000, cash vouchers and merit certificates. Principal Nupur Nutan congratulated the students on their excellent performance. 

PARENTING WORKSHOP

Khanna: A parenting workshop was organised at Om Parkash Bansal Modern School, Mandi Gobindgarh, for the parents of the pre-primary wing students. Renowned motivator and counsellor Dilbaagh Singh shared his expertise on the topic, ‘Parents as role models’. He urged the parents form a lifelong connection with children right from the formative years.
