Ludhiana: Oliver House Preschool and Daycare held a rain dance party. Students came to school dressed in rain coats and brought colourful umbrellas. They were taught about the importance of rain and measures to prevent themselves from getting drenched in rain. Students enjoyed dancing and playing water games.
TALENT HUNT
In a talent hunt contest held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, City Campus, students showcased participated in various competitions such as solo song, duet dance, English group song and mimicry.
READING ACTIVITY
To inculcate reading habit among students, an activity ‘Drop everything and read’ was organised at DCM Presidency School. Students devoted an hour to reading books of their choice. They read story books, general knowledge books and other informative aspects. The activity was held to develop love for reading among the students.
SOLO DANCE contest
A solo dance competition was held at Ryan International School, Dugri, for students of Class VI onward. A fancy dress competition was also held for students of Montessori class on the theme, ‘Keep Earth clean and green’. Students came dressed as trees, water and wore attires related to environment.
CHESS COMPETITION
An inter-house chess competition was held at Bal Bharati Public School. In all, 70 students from Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars houses participated in the preliminary round, of which 40 participants qualified for the finals. The first position winners of the final round were Pranav Gupta, Gurnoor Kaur, Jasraj Singh, Harsimrat Kaur, Aryan Sondhi, Aarzoo Arora, Gurashish Singh, Khushi Shukla, Priyam Kalra and Simarjot Kaur. —TNS
