Students enjoy Independence Day celebrations at Spring Dale Senior Secondary Public School

Ludhiana: Police DAV Public School, Police Line, Civil lines in association with Pidilite Industries Ltd, took an initiative to make rakhis and cards for the Armed Forces, as a token of gratitude and respect. A week-long mass rakhi-making activity was mobilised for this cause, wherein all the students made creative, innovative and artistic rakhis and cards.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Spring Dale Senior Secondary Public School held a function to celebrate Independence Day. The campus was decorated with tri-color balloons. The function was presided over by Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria. The Army Pipe Band of 8 Mac Battalion, Amritsar, played patriotic tunes.

POOL PARTY

Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary School, Hambran Road, organised a pool party for pre-primary students. Students wore colourful swim suits and splashed water inside the pool.

SESSION FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS

In a special interactive session for medical students at Ryan International School, distinguished guest, Dr Gurshan Singh Gill, Department of Community Medicine, Christian Medical College, was invited. The session began with the reading of Bible. In the session, Dr Gurshan shared various reasons for stress  among students of the medical stream. He also talked about the problems confronted by the students during studies, causes of less concentration and pressure due to prospective entrance examinations. He educated the students about various easy learning methods and time management. 

TREE PLANTATION

Phillaur: DRV DAV Centenary College, Phillaur, celebrated Tree Plantation Day as a part of its activity series to commemorate its event, ‘Azadi-70’. The chief guest of the day, Subhash Chander, SDM, Phillaur, planted a sapling and inspired the staff and students to plant trees. In all, 50 students took part in the activity and promised to take care of the saplings. —Tribune Reporters
