The Union Ministry of Health has granted permission to the Post-Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (PGIDS), Rohtak, to run post-graduate courses in all nine dental specialties with an intake of 30 MDS students every year.

Dr Sanjay Tewari, principal, PGIDS, pointed out that the Union Government had also given permission to start a new MDS course in the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the PGIDS last year.

Besides, the Union Ministry of Health had also granted permanent recognition for the MDS courses in four specialties — Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Pedodonitcs — at the institute.

The PGIDS has been ranked consecutively amongst top 10 dental colleges across the country since 2010. —TNS
