Jesus Sacred Heart School organised a class presentation on Reciprocal Teaching for Grade II in the smart classrooms of the school .
As effective learning comes from integrating technology as a learning tool, students came up with innovative ways of teaching by using audio-visual aids, charts, PPTs, models and varied activities.
Parents of these kids were happy to see their children turning into teachers and confidently presenting their topics which were selected from their designed curriculum.
They prepared the lesson plans under the guidance of their teachers.
The shift from an instructor-cantered approach to a student-cantered approach is a central component of the reciprocal teaching process and it encourages self-regulation on the part of the students.
Moreover, these strategies encouraged the students in shaping their thought processes during interactive teaching sessions, said the school principal.
It was worth watching tiny-tots giving presentation to their teachers.
