Shivalik students shine in science exhibition
Students of Shivalik Public School, Sector 41-B, Chandigarh won the first prize in the 43rd State-Level Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition, organised by the SCERT, Chandigarh. The project prepared by Rohit Batra and Shreyansh Rathra was adjudged the best under the sub-theme resource management.
Annual function
Vihaan Global School, Lalru, organised its annual function “Vihaan Beats”. Students presented various dance items and plays on various social issues. Prizes were given to the winners.
St Soldier International Convent School
St Soldier International Convent School, Mohali, celebrated the last phase of its annual function “Vibes -2015” at the school Auditorium. The programme commenced with the lighting of a lamp by chief guest Satya Minhas, chairman, Hindu Council, UK. Students of Class I showcased their diligence through a musical extravaganza on the story of Pinocchio.

Bachpan School, Naya Gaon, Mohali, celebrated its 11th annual day. Children presented colourful dances and skits. All students participated in the programme.
Saksham shines in skating
Saksham Bansal, a student of Class VIII at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, won the gold in the rink race-I and II of the boys’ U-14 category during the 60th Roller Skating SGFI Nationals at Belgaum in Karnataka.
Quiz, poster-making contest
Adarsh Public Smart School, Sector 20, organised a quiz and poster-making competition on the Swachh Bharat Mission, in which students of Classes VII and VIII took part. They took the pledge of keeping the India clean and healthy.
Special assembly
A special assembly was organised for students at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Dera Bassi, Mohali. Traffic officers apprised the students of road safety rules on the occasion.
Inter-house quiz
