Shivam, Shubhankar top scorers in Doon

The much-awaited results of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) class X and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class XII examinations were declared here on Friday. Students and parents made a beeline to cyber cafés to know their performance in the board examinations.

Shivam Maini of Raja Rammohan Roy Academy stood first in the district by securing 98.75 per cent, while Shubhankar Seth from Brightlands School secured 98 per cent in the ISC. Maini said students should focus on systematic study instead of mugging up.

Shubhankar dedicated the success to his parents and teachers. Hard work and blessings from parents and teachers helped him secure good marks in the ICSE, he stated.

Seth was awarded with national fellowship in basic science under the KVPY Programme-2015, initiated by the Department of Science, Government of India. He was awarded the NTSE scholarship and had also won many medals in quiz and debate competitions held at national level. He represented Uttarakhand in swimming in Junior National Aquatic Championship and was the head boy of the school. Seth had secured the second rank, with 98.4 per cent marks, in All-India merit of the ICSE in 2014.

From St Joseph Academy, 265 students appeared for the ICSE examination. The top scorer was Abhiti Mishra with 97.2 per cent while Savinay Sharma scored 96.6 per cent and Shruti Bindra and Siddharh Agarwal got 96 per cent each. In ISC, a total of 230 students appeared. The top scorers were Hrikshit Raj Chauhan and Shreyas Dobhal, both scoring 98 per cent each, while Aditya Dimri and Kanishk Kakar scored 97.5 per cent each in science stream.

More than 104 students scored 90 per cent and more marks. Abhinav Kothari, Ayushi Lamba, Kanishk Puspwan and Vidisha Nainwal got 97.25 per cent each.

For Brooklyn School, Vipul Saklani secured 93 per cent in ISC and emerged the school topper, closely followed by Aditi Battu. In the ICSE examinations, Simran Gupta, Aman Chaurasia and Ishant Rana were the school toppers by securing 94 per cent, 93 per cent and 92 per cent, respectively.

Principal Manju Grover said “We are delighted. The consistency of our very strong results reflects the hard work of our pupils and our exceptional teaching staff. Every year we are impressed by our pupils’ ability to combine tremendous academic performance with a rich array of extracurricular interests encompassing sports, drama, music and art”.

Madhav Goel topped the Doon School by securing 97.8 per cent, closely followed by Sambhav Agarwal and Kanav Ghai as they scored 97.5 per cent and 97.3 per cent, respectively, in ISC.

In the ICSE, Advait Ganapathy and Harshit Bansal were the school toppers with 97 per cent marks. Pragun Agarwal and Divij Mullick scored 96.8 per cent and 96.6 per cent, respectively.

In The Heritage School. Ekta Rawat emerged the topper by securing 95.2 per cent, while Vidisha Rana and Shivani Chamoli secured 94.4 and 94.2 per cent, respectively, in ICSE, while Riya Gusain became the ISC topper by securing 91.25 per cent and Akhil Gupta scored 90.50 per cent.

Students of Shivalik International School also brought laurels by securing 100 per cent results in the ICSE and the ISC. Shreya Garg topped the school with 96 per cent, followed by Shubham Jain 92 per cent, while Chandrakant Pradhan and Ayushi Arora secured 89 per cent each in the ISC. In the ICSE, Adarsh Kumar topped with 92.5 per cent, followed by Pooja Sanwal who secured 92 per cent and Nikita Singhal secured 91 per cent.

Sakshi Thapa topped Cambrian Hall School with 96.2 per cent. Other meritorious students of the school are Trisha Goyal (94.4 per cent), Khushboo Sharma (93.8 per cent), Kshitij Kalauni (93.4 per cent), Simran (93.2 per cent), Vishesh Sharma (92.6 per cent), Ananya Thapa (92.2 per cent), Aashima Gupta (92 per cent) in the ICSE, while in the ISC, Chetan Tiwari was the top scorer with 96.75 per cent in science followed by Vanshika Bhardwaj (96.5 per cent), Avibhav Mangal (95.5 per cent), Nikhil Vivek (93.25 per cent), and Vaishali Agarwal (92.25 per cent).

Varneet Dabral of Maa Anandmai Memorial School topped the school securing 91 per cent in the ICSE, while Karishma Rawat got 71 per cent in the ISC.
