Six leading engineering and architecture institutes of Chandigarh and Hoshiarpur will conduct joint admissions for the 2015-16 session.
The Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICET), Panjab University (PU), would conduct joint admissions for the 2015-2016 session for the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET); UIET PU SSG Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur; Punjab Engineering College University of Technology, Sector 12, Chandigarh; Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology, Sector 26, Chandigarh; Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA), Sector 12, Chandigarh; and UICET, PU.
The admissions would be conducted by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC) under the chairmanship of UICET chairperson Professor Meenakshi Goyal.
Prof Goyal said the students could tentatively submit online applications on www.chdenggadmissions.nic.in after July 6. The detailed information brochure had been displayed on the joint admission website.
She said the all-India rank prepared by the CBSE on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2015 and normalised score in Class XII or equivalent qualifying examination (60 per cent and 40 per cent weightage, respectively) would be used for admission to BE/BTech and BArchitecture for the JAC-2015.
The cut-off marks for eligibility to various categories would be decided by the CBSE on the declaration of JEE (Main)-2015 result, she said.
