SOI declares panel for PU student council election campaigns

The Student Organisation of India (SOI) announced a panel for campaigning at the south campus of Panjab University for the student council elections for the first time.
The panel comprises in-charges, conveners and coordinators for the University Institute of Technology and Engineering (UIET) and the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) besides the president, vice-president and joint secretary.
The decision aimed at winning the support of 1,897 UIET students. In the past, Sahil Nanda (2008), Gurindervir Singh Aulakh (2010) and Divyanshu Bhudiraja (2014) from the UIET had grabbed the post of president.
Another department that plays an important role in the elections is the Department of Laws, which has 1,209 votes, followed by the UILS with 1,016 voters. — TNS
