STUDENT SHINES

Ludhiana: Gurkirat, a Class XII student of Blossoms Convent School, scored 8 bands in IELTS without taking any coaching. He gave all credit to his teachers who polished his language. Principal Dr Amarjit Kaur "Naaz" congratulated him and teachers by saying that hard work never goes to nothingness.

FAREWELL PARTY

A farewell party was organised for the outgoing students of GMT Public School. A party was hosted by Class XI students to bid adieu to the outgoing Class XII students. Principal Neetu Sharma and chairman-cum-director Kashmir Singh Thind also wished good luck to the outgoing students.

RECOGNITION DAY CELEBRATED

Jesus’ Sacred Heart School recognised the efforts of the LKG students who aimed to perform on ‘My Fantasy World’ showcasing the imaginative world of a child. The programme started with ‘Vandana’ to invoke the blessings of the Almighty followed by presentation wherein they presented the beautiful imaginative world by becoming an escapist and forced the parents to enjoy the lovely moments.

Students excelled in their oratory skills. The programme came to an end with resonance of the National Anthem.

ADVANCE KARATE CAMP

An advance karate training camp was organised in Radha Vatika Senior Secondary School. In the camp approximately 60 students participated. Ashok Chohan (black belt 3rd Dan) the technical director and chief examiner of Okinawan Shorin Ryu Shorinkan Association and National Refree of Punjab and assistant coach Manoj Kumar (Black Belt 1st Dan) trained the students in Advance Kumiti, Dachi, Giri and Suki which will help them to get medals in the upcoming eighth Ludhiana District Karate Championship. Twenty students were awarded with yellow belts and certificates. Five students were selected in the camp to participate in Open International Karate Championship to be held in May in Dubai.— TNS
