A three-day inter-collegiate cultural and technical fest Lamhe – 2015 began at IMS Unison University here today.
UCOST director general Rajendra Dobhal, who was the chief guest at the inaugural function, congratulated the university authorities for organising such a mega event.
As many as 200 students from more than 25 universities and colleges are participating in the event. He said such events play a vital role in shaping the personality of students.
University Chancellor Dr MP Jain congratulated the students for their efforts in organising the mega event. Dr Dilip K Bandyopadhyay, Vice Chancellor, IMS Unison University, welcomed the students and conveyed his best wishes to them.
The function commenced with the Saraswati Vandana followed by a dance performance. Lamhe is being organised to develop a sense of completion among students.
Various events, including solo dance, solo singing, antakshari, war of bands, poster competition, parliamentary debate, rangoli competition, painting exhibition, rap wars and treasure hunt, were held on the occasion.
A large number of students from various schools won trophies, certificates, cash prizes and consolation prizes.
Prof Vijayan Immanuel, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Pawan Aggarwal, Dean Research and Consultancy, Prof Reena Singh, Dean Students Welfare, BB Pant, Registrar, Prof Deepak Uniyal and other deans, HoDs and faculty members were present on the occasion.
