To generate awareness among children about how to face challenges of adolescence, keep themselves away from drug abuse, respect and care for elderly people and develop a habit to conserve nature, the Human Resources Development Ministry organised a national folk dance competition in Delhi yesterday. A group of six Class IX students of Government Senior Secondary School at Raja Ka Talab near here represented the state.

The National Council of Education for Research and Training (NCERT) held this event in which students from nine states in North India participated. NCERT Director BK Tripathi and Secretary S Sen presented participation awards to students.
