Chandigarh: Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School organised Hawan on the school premises. Principal, staff members and students took part in the hawan. Principal BS Kanwar blessed the students on the beginning of the New Year — Vikram Samvat 2070. Punjabi faculty of the school presented a small cultural programme on the occasion of Baisakhi.

Training workshop

AKSIPS-45 organised a teachers training workshop on life skills. The CBSE empanelled agency Prabhaav Learnings Ltd. Gave presentation to teachers. The need to access life skills in every child was discussed. The tools and techniques through which a process of evaluation in life skills could be handled were highlighted. The interactive and effective method of the training cleared many concepts.

Training for parents

The British School, Sector 44, Chandigarh, held an orientation programme in which teachers explained to parents how the learning process becomes more interesting with the use of new techniques and methods. The programme started with ‘Gayatri Mantra’ followed by a mesmerising dance performance of foundation years and primary students.

New principal appointed

Renu Puri has been appointed as the principal of Vievk High School, Chandigarh. Orientation programme

Mohali: An orientation programme to facilitate the parents before the commencement of yet another session 2015-16 was organized at AKSIPS-Mohali. The orientation programme for pre-primary wing was organised to welcome the tiny tots and give an insight to the parents about the curriculum and teaching methodology to be followed. — TNS
