Study at new campus with latest facilities

The Government College of Commerce and Business Administration (GCCBA), Sector 50, is planning to come up with a hi-tech library this year after the completion of the construction of Block I at its present location, spread over nine acres. A seminar room and conference hall will also be set up in the new block.
The college was opened on October 19, 2006, in a building in Sector 19, Chandigarh. Recently, it was shifted from Sector 42 to the present location in Sector 50.
The college will have modern infrastructure so that students could be professionally trained. The session 2015-16 was a year of major achievements for the college as it was accredited by the NAAC (Cycle-I) . The college had got permission to run the BCA course but the Department of Higher Education asked it to start the course in 2017-18.
At present, the college does not have any hostel but arrangements have been made for the stay of students at hostels of other institutes. For girls, there are 45 seats at the working women’s hostel, Sector 24, Chandigarh, and 10 seats at the State Institute of Education, Sector 32, Chandigarh. For boys, there are 15 seats at the general hostel in Sector 15, Chandigarh.
The placement cell of the college is more of a career facilitation and personality development centre. The placement cell holds pre-placement and placement drives besides organising expert talks on diverse career options. Various career counselling sessions are also organised in the college.
