Thapar girls protest against hostel timings

Patiala, March 29

Girl students of Thapar University, Patiala, held a protest on the campus on Tuesday night.

The students were protesting against “discriminatory curfew” hostel timings, wherein they are locked inside their respective hostels after 12 midnight.

The students from all hostels gathered around the common area and refused to enter their

hostels at the closing time. They shouted slogans against the

“discriminatory” attitude of the university administration.

The university authorities could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
