On the eve of World Nature Conservation Day, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No 1, Udhampur, launched “Green Mission” on the vidyalaya campus.
A large number of students participated to mark the day by gifting the plants of their choice to the school. Principal of the vidyalaya Dr R Prasad took the initiative by planting saplings of aerocaria at different sites of the vidyalaya and motivated the students to carry on the process.
He appreciated the students for the contribution towards soil conservation. Earlier, PK Shukla, in charge, Nature Club, delivered a speech regarding the value of World Conservation Day.
Teaching faculty of the vidyalaya, namely Megha, Sanjay Purohit, Neeta Moten, Raman, Honey Mehta, Ravi Kant, Surinder, Preetika and Miss Iesha, were also present on the occasion.
