Ludhiana: Ram Lal Bhasin Public School organised a visit to Easyday for the kindergarten section. Students from Nursery to Montessori- II took part in the visit along with their teachers. They learnt how to count money and weigh things. Students were surprised to see all things available under one roof. Principal Raman Oberoi appreciated the efforts of students and teachers.

INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY 

Manav Rachna International School celebrated International Tiger Day to make students aware of the significance of tiger conservation. The junior wing students made masks of tigers out of paper plates. The movie, 'Madagascar's Escape' was also screened. Information related to tigers was also shared with them. They enhanced their vocabulary by teaching words such as extinct, protection, expansion, stripes, carnivores, cub, ambush and streak. A special morning assembly was also conducted by the students of Class II, wherein they spoke about the endangered species, reasons for killing of tigers and role of tigers in the ecosystem. They also recited a poem on tigers. Students of classes I, II and III created eye masks. An art competition was organised for classes I to V.

TALENT HUNT

A talent search contest was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir for the middle section. Activities such as duet dance, solo song and English play were the main highlights of the function. Suman Jain and Gurdeep Singh were the judges. Students gave remarkable performances. Headmistress Namita Raj Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers. She also encouraged the students to take part in other co-curricular activities for their holistic development teachers.

WORKSHOP FOR TEENAGERS

A workshop, 'Empowering teenagers' was organised at Drishti Doctor RC Jain Innovative Public Senior Secondary School, Narangwal. Students of Class VIII attended the workshop. The resource person Dr Suneet Aurora emphasised upon the goal-setting for students at the age of 13-14 years. Students asked questions related to teenage distractions and how to develop a will power during these years. It was an interactive session, wherein students got all their queries answered. —TNS
