Jammu, October 7
Army Public School (APS), Damana, organised a week-long activities on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on the school premises.
Under the campaign, future generation of the country was made aware of the importance of hygiene and cleanliness. The students were also encouraged to participate in the cleanliness campaign in the school and surrounding areas.
During the week-long programme, a number of competitions related to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan were organised on the premises of Army Public School, Damana.
Prominent among them were poster making, best out of waste, slogan writing, poem recitation, besides special morning assembly and Swachhtta awareness run/walk.
Prizes were given away to the winners. On the concluding day of the campaign, Poonam Bisht was the chief guest.
In her speech, she urged the students to inculcate the spirit of hygiene and cleanliness. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks.
