With CGPA of 3.52, PGGCG-11 outstrips city govt colleges

With CGPA of 3.52 in the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) grading report, the Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG), Sector 11, stood first among city government colleges.

Dr Anita Kaushal, Principal of the college, said it was a great achievement for the hardworking faculty, students, illustrious alumni and dedicated non-teaching staff at the college.

This rare distinction of A Grade with CGPA of 3.52 score is a historic landmark for the institution. She said due to the support and guidance of UT Adviser Vijay Kumar Dev, Education Secretary Sarbjit Singh, DPI RS Brar and PU VC Arun Kumar Grover, the achievement was possible for the college.

She said during a three-day visit to the college, the NAAC team was satisfied with the infrastructure, results of students and the academic achievements of the college. She said the college had yet to receive details of the NAAC report.

DAV College, Sector 10, also got Grade A with CGPA of 3.31. Last year, the Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, and Post Graduate Government College-46, had got 3.21 and 3.04 CGPA.
