The group behind it, Non-Violent Action COP21, claims that 128 portraits have been stolen, while 57 persons face “group theft” charges which carry a maximum five-year jail term. AFP

Turkish court to review Wikipedia ban

Ankara: Turkey's highest court will consider an appeal by Wikipedia aiming to reverse the Turkish government’s more than two-year ban on the online encyclopedia. Turkey blocked Wikipedia in April 2017, accusing it of being part of a "smear campaign" against Turkey, after the website refused to remove content that allegedly portrayed Turkey as a country supporting the Islamic State and terrorist organisations. Wikipedia petitioned the Turkish Constitutional Court in May 2017 after talks with Turkish officials and a challenge in lower courts failed. AP

Google Docs to display word count as you type

San Francisco: Google is rolling out a new capability for G Suite customers to see their word count as they type on docs. “We have heard that displaying this information is helpful to users working on docs that require minimum or maximum word count,” Google said. Instead of going to “Tools” and then to “Word Count” each time you want to view this information, now, you can simply select “Tools”, then go to “Word Count” and then select “Display word count while typing” to continuously display it in the lower left corner of your doc.
