More than 3,000 people were benefitted from the two-day camp, claimed Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-secretary Legal services Authority Rajesh Bhagat.

They were imparted necessary information about free legal services and given legal advice on different issues and problems being faced by them, he said.

Most of the people took advice about matrimonial disputes, property disputes within family, non cancellation of FIRs despite compromises between parties among other things.

“The purpose of the camp was to spread a clear message among people that nobody can be denied justice and people belonging to the poor section can avail free legal aid,” Bhagat said.

Any women, any person in custody, any man having less than Rs 1.5 lakh annual income, members of SC/ST, industrial workers and minors were entitled for availing free legal services, the CJM said.

A team of lawyers including Rama Bajaj, Vishal Tiwari, Deepak Ghai and Manohar Lal guided farmers.
