13 dead as mini-bus falls into gorge in Udhampur

Jammu, October 20

At least 13 persons, including five women and a child, were killed when the mini-bus they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge in Dalsar area of Ramnagar teshil in Udhampur district on Tuesday morning.

“Thirteen persons were killed when a mini-bus went out of the driver’s control and plunged into a deep gorge in the hilly area,” a police officer said.

The bus was on its way from Ghordi village to Ramnagar town in Udhampur district of Jammu region.

Relief and rescue teams have reached the accident spot, the police added. (With inputs from IANS)
