Two people were killed and four injured, including three school going sisters, when the truck they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge at Nainidhar area of Shillai sub-division in Sirmaur district today.

SP Souyma Sambasivan said the father of three sisters, Bhagat Ram, took lift from the ill-fated truck to drop his three daughters to school after they had missed the school bus. As soon as the truck halted in the steep road to drop the three girls, it lost control and fell into the deep gorge at Nainidhar. Their father had barely aligned from the truck to help his daughters get down safely when the mishap took place.
