2 killed in accident near Gharuan

Mohali: Two persons were killed while one was severely injured in an accident between a tractor and an SUV on the Kharar-Ludhiana highway near Gharuan village here last night.

The deceased have been identified as Gurdev Singh (39) and Shubham Mandal (55), both residents of Santemajra village. Gurjit Singh has suffered severe injuries.

The deceased, who were on a tractor, were driving on the wrong side of the road when a Balero, being driven by Gurjit Singh, collided with it. Gurdev and Shubham died on the spot while Gurjit was shifted to the PGI, Chandigarh. — TNS
