Six Panjab University players will be a part of the team to represent the country in the World University Badminton Championship to be held in Russia from September 12 to 18. 

The preparatory camp held at the Panjab University (PU) under the guidance of national badminton coach Surinder Mahajan and Kapil Sharma concluded today.

Rupinder Singh, Kanwaldeep Singh, Sumit Sharma, Kashish, Sanya Sethi and Kailash of the Panjab University form a part of the 12-member team which also includes Aman Kumar of MD University, Rohtak; Vaishnavi Vikas Bhale, Khushboo Patel and Bhakti Dhananjay Dahasahasra, all from Nagpur University; and Jamuna of Venkateshwara University, Andhra Pradesh. 

The team will leave for Moscow on Friday. Mixed team championships will be held on the first three days followed by individual championships. — TNS
