Around 65.43 per cent polling was reported from the Dhanaulti Assembly seat which had been on the electoral radar for various reasons. Narayan Singh Rana from the BJP, Manmohan Singh Mall from the Congress and PDF leader and Urban Development Minister Pritam Panwar are caught in the triangular contest in Dhanaulti and all of them are claiming victory after completion of the poll today.

Legendary shooter and Olympian Jaspal Rana also cast his ballot at his native Chilamau village. Rana had joined the Congress a couple of years back while his father is BJP candidate from the Dhanaulti seat.

The polling was slow in several booths in the early morning but picked up later as the day progressed. Some voters had to tread on foot two-to-three kilometer to cast the vote.

Enthusiasm of the voters was visible in the whole constituency who had sealed the fate of candidates that would now be decided on March 11. Dhanaulti is the Assembly seat where the Congress had earlier declared to support PDF leader Pritam Panwar but had retracted later. All eyes would be on this seat.
