District Magistrate Chandresh Kumar addressed the public grievances during the tehsil divas organised at Chakrata here today.
A total of 98 complaints were registered out of which 69 were resolved on the spot.
After the meeting, the DM instructed the officials to resolve the pending issues within 15 days.
Urging the officials to put in their best efforts towards resolving the public grievances, the DM said the tehsil divas should not be held for namesake.
“Efforts should be taken to resolve the issues on the spot,” he added.
The maximum number of complaints received during the tehsil divas was related to the Education Department.
The DM said a complaint register had to be maintained in schools in which parents could register their grievances in the presence of teachers.
