A fan-filled moment

Hrishikesh Pandey, who is popular known as Inspector Sachin from the TV show CID, is known for his tremendous fan following. The actor, who is known for his benevolent and philanthropic behaviour, surprised some kids recently. So, what transpired?

Hrishikesh Pandey was recently on a road trip to a hill station named Devlali for work. However, the trip turned into a fun filled one, when the localities came to know that Hrishikesh Pandey is in their vicinity. A group of social workers from an association called ‘Stri Shakti’ came to pay a visit to him and asked him if he would like to spend time with some of the women and kids they support.

Hrishikesh Pandey, not only happily agreed, but also decided to support their campaign – Mid Day Meal that provides lunch free of cost to school children on all working days, in different parts of India. The key objectives of the program is protecting children from classroom hunger, increasing school enrolment and attendance, improved socialiasation among children belonging to all castes, addressing malnutrition, and social and women empowerment through provision of employment to women. The actor was so charmed by the kids that he took a break and spent hours with them, interacting, laughing and playing. He not only signed autographs for them but also posed with the kids for pictures, who were equally excited to meet inspector Sachin from CID.

When asked about his time spent with kids, Hrishikesh said, “It was amazing to spend time with these kids, as each one has a new zeal and spark in them. They all recognised me as the undercover cop of CID, and I was really delighted to know that these kids do follow the show. I would like to congratulate Stri Shakti association and its team for encouraging women. It is something that I would remember for a long time. I would love to come back again and meet the children in the future as well.”
