A piece of me in every song...
Jasmine Singh
His striking resemblance to actor John Abraham is something he’s totally unaware of. A huge fan of Salman Khan and Punjabi singer-actor Babbu Mann, music director, rapper Jaz Buttar from village Nathowal, Ludhiana is putting blocks of his passion together, cementing them with his hard work, experimentation and creativity. Here’s Jaz Buttar (Jaspreet) in love with his music, music, and music!
So far, so good
I always wanted to be associated with music; I was never doubted it. I was making music off and on till a Punjabi singer settled in Australia asked me to make his track. Well, this set it rolling for me...Here am I doing what I was born to, make music.
If not music
There is no ‘if’ in my case, as a youngster I would often listen to Hindi songs, as I would find more beats in them. Then came Babu Mann’s track Saun Di Chaddi that changed my perception about Punjabi music, completely.
Learn or leave
I am a trained audio engineer, at the same time; I think that lessons in music can be looked at in two different ways. I have personally learnt a lot from YouTube, but getting perfection through this takes time, as compared to learning from a teacher who can put your queries to rest, then and there.
Collaboration, any
I would love to work with all artistes, I am also open to all genres, I don’t want to stick in one field. Also, I am a great fan of Salman Khan and Babbu Mann, so I would love to make music for them.
You look great
Looking presentable has become mandatory for singers. Technology has taken singers far and wide, which means people see them first and then hear them. No singer would want to be seen with a pot belly on screen, so, no one minds hitting the gym.
One fine compliment
After seeing the video Destination that I made, a fan posted on YouTube that his life changed after seeing the video, which of course was a huge compliment for me.
I have a dream...
Well, many but as of now I feel nice that I am following my dream, which is music.
Say thanks to
To my father, Kuljit Singh and mother, Daljeet Kaur for supporting me, for letting me follow my dream, my passion and for not forcing in me in a career chosen by them.
Pick your instrument
Each instrument offers a world of possibilities, I like piano, and also like the different ways that I can use it in the songs.
