A welcome relief

The gorgeous Dimple Kapadia, who plays a Maharani in Firoz A Nadiadwallah’s Welcome Back recently, filmed a party number, Nas nas main, with Naseeruddin Shah. In the film, the two are looking for a suitable match for their children and end up falling in love, instead.

While the actress was excited to shake a leg to a dance track after years, director Anees Bazmee, who is a big fan of the actress and was even an assistant on the sets of her 1985 film Lava, was even more ecstatic.

Says Bazmee, “When I outlined what I had in mind, Dimple Kapadia told me categorically that nobody makes her dance to club tracks anymore and that too in a jazzy gold and red gown. But she agreed when she heard that her Finding Fanny co-star, Naseer would partner her in the song. She's really comfortable with him. They were humming and dancing together, enjoying every moment”.
