Chandigarh: A large number of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists, led by state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur, sat on a fast here on Thursday to protest amendments in the Land Acquisition Act by the centre. Among others present were HS Phoolka, Baldeep Singh, Dr AS Mann, Harkesh Singh Sidhu, Prof Manjit Singh, Col H.S. Kang(retd), Narinder Singh Chahal, Prof Mohanjit Kaur and Harjit Singh Adaltiwala.

Chhotepur said that in case the amendments were not revoked, the AAP would intensify its agitation. He said the NDA Government was bent upon giving land of farmers to big corporates. He said that NDA government had been fully exposed for its anti-farmer policies.
