The city witnessed several traffic jams as most roads got waterlogged after the area was lashed by rain. Traffic police personnel were nowhere to be seen to ease congestion on the roads. They are usually stationed at the Aggarsein Chowk near the residence of Superintendent of Police.

Residents in all the low-lying areas suffered the most as the streets were flooded with rainwater. Attendance at educational institutions was poor and several markets remained shut till afternoon.
