Actors of ‘Shareek’ visit city to promote movie

Star cast of the upcoming Punjabi movie ‘Shareek’ visited the city today. Actors Mahie Gill, Mukul Dev, Gugu Gill, Simar Gill, Kuljinder Sidhu, Oshin Sai along with one of the producers of the movie visited the city for the promotion of the movie.
Actors said the movie is based in rural backdrop and deals with a land dispute. It raises the issue that how the land becomes reason for enmity between brothers. They said a movie on the issue of land dispute has been made after about 20 years in Punjabi cinema. Dev said one of the messages of the movie is the futility of such dispute.
Mahie Gill said she has acted in a Punjabi movie after three years, as she wanted to do a movie in a rural setup, but she was not getting good scripts in Punjabi. She plays the role of Jassi opposite the role of Jassa played by Jimmy Shergill. Apart from this film, she is doing another movie ‘Wedding Anniversary’ alongside actor Nana Patekar, in addition to two more films. One of the films is in English, and another is from her home production.
Both Simar Gill and Oshin Sai have made debut in the movie.
Simar from Jalandhar plays a double role in the movie. Oshin said though she started doing a Diljit Dosanjh film prior to this film, but it is yet to be released.
